Articles :: Natural Living :: Primary Cause of Death in the U.S. is Suicide

Everyone else blames the leading causes of death in the U.S. on heart attacks, cancer, vehicular accidents, blah, blah, blah ... I say Suicide and here's why.

Suicide is defined as the willful destruction of one's own life, ultimately resulting in that persons death. Well, we're well past the point of pretending that we don't know what toxins in our air, food and water does to us. So every time you do any of the following things you are "performing willful destruction of your life which ultimately results in your death":

  • eat/drink processed food/beverages (i.e. chemically altered, packed with preservatives, grown with pesticides, injected with hormones, etc)
  • inhale non-air (i.e. chemicals, tobacco, fumes, etc)
  • absorb drugs into your body outside of any urgent life-saving emergency situation (i.e. alcoholic beverages, party drugs, pain relievers, muscle rub, asthma medicine, etc)
  • foregoing normal detoxification (i.e. not bathing, not drinking enough water)
  • absorb radiation (i.e. living under high voltage electrical wires)
  • avoid exercise (i.e. watching sports on TV instead of participating, driving everyplace instead of walking, playing video games with your kids instead of riding bikes in the park, etc)
  • lack of sleep (i.e. staying awake when you're tired, avoiding naps)
  • self-induced stress (i.e. never meditating, never relaxing, never talking about things that are on your mind, etc)

Things like heart attacks, cancer, tumors, bad skin, foul smelling armpits and feet, low energy levels, depression, shame, joint pains, blah, blah, blah are all side effects of slow suicide ... not side effects of aging. Side effects of aging are grey hair and wrinkles, everything else is up to you to prevent.
